| Welcome To Our Creative Collabortion! I have this reoccuring daydream of owning an art/craft co-op gallery / workshop / studio / retreat! It's just part of what keeps me motivated. Now, someday, this idea I've been chasing is going to slam on her brakes and hopefully I'll be ready to say "YES!". Until then, there are a few personal steps I need to adhere to before I can make this dream a reality. I found this guideline from A.C.T. website. (Artist Career Training) It goes something like this: Creating a consistent body of "signature" work Honing your professional public persona Developing and using your mailing list Photographing and documenting your work Generating publicity and media attention Maintaining professional business relationships Marketing your art in person and on the internet I recommend this personal checklist to anyone who really wants to depend less on the DAY job and succeed more from your artistic endeavors! ~*~ Wire Up Kids! Fall is in the air and I'm getting myself geared to revive this creative format of conversation to enhance my life and yours with some outstanding artistic and craft-astic venues, shows, workshops, interviews, lifestyles and the chic places they like to meet! Excuse the mess and the lack of operating linkage. I'm working on some page changes and updates. Stay Tuned! Going to: The Wallkill River Art Gallery Sugar Loaf Caffe Macchiato Newburgh Hudson Valley Showcase The Cornwall Yarn Shop |
