| Making the Best Use Of Our Time ~ by Karen Guarino of Impressions by karen guarino ===================================================== Divide the Day ~ Alternative way to vew your time frame Early morning (5am - 8am) Morning (8am - 12pm) Afternoon (12pm - 4pm) Evening (4pm - 8pm) Late Evening (8pm - 11pm) Some of you can divide the day however you choose. It's roughly a 3 to 4 hour time slot. Choose which part of the day will be assigned to your creative time, household chores, family time, business time, your time. Below is a brief definition of these titled activities and what is expected while tending to them. ======================================================== Defining Our Time Slots: Creative Time: Only producing product! Strictly creating items to exhibit & sell. NO BUSINESS! Household Chores: This is the never ending list. With kids & spouses, there is always "picking up and dishes" This time slot refers to any other household chore that needs to be tackled (bathroom, mowing, washing floors, dusting, and any "fixing" of appliances, machinery to sewing buttons!) Family Time: Any time spent with a family member is necessary. Sharing some "slow down" time with your partner, child, even your pet is precious. Business Time: OK, let's use this time to make those phone calls, work on that web site, brochure, or flyers. Gather tax info, make inventory list, read some inspiring articles on promoting your work, buy supplies. Your Time: Read a book, rent a classic movie, visit a gallery, take a walk or workout, see a friend, visit a health food store, really listen to music whatever makes you happy...take a nap! I know this sounds idealistic, but it will be a conscience effort to remain artistically productive! |
